Capture what the prototype proved
Record the material, finish, geometry and artwork used for the trial. Identify which requirements were actually checked. A visual prototype may not have established depth, symbol verification or performance after cleaning. List those open questions before treating the prototype as a complete production qualification.
Review the batch workflow
Production requires a repeatable way to receive, identify, load, mark, inspect and package parts. Consider how similar variants will be separated and how serial data will be assigned. Ask whether the prototype fixture is appropriate for the planned batch. A manual setup that was reasonable for one item may need a different approach for repeated loading.
Approve the production configuration
Confirm the final drawing, artwork and inspection plan before release. If the material or finish changed after the prototype, review the effect instead of relying on the earlier sample. Establish the first-piece approval and any ongoing checks. Keep the accepted production configuration distinct from development samples so a reorder does not revive an obsolete trial setup.
