Identify the delivered configuration
State whether the enclosure arrives empty or contains installed components. Attachments, cables and delicate surfaces can affect handling and access. Show the material and finish for each variant. A molded cover and a coated metal enclosure may require different process reviews even when they share the same graphic.
Place information where it remains visible
Check the label area in the installed orientation. Include connectors, brackets and mounting hardware on the layout. Separate markings intended for assembly personnel from information the end user must read. If a code will be scanned after installation, identify the available line of sight and the intended scanning arrangement.
Manage product variants
Use controlled artwork for different models, languages and ratings. A common housing does not mean all printed or engraved information is interchangeable. Require an approved layout and a clear part-to-artwork mapping before production. At inspection, compare the identifier and graphics with the product configuration, not simply with the most recent sample on the bench.
